WEB Carlos Ray Chuck Norris, born March 10, 1940, is an American martial artist and actor. He holds black belts in Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and judo. Norris began his martial arts training in Korea during the 1950s while serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Success in Martial Arts
Norris became a world champion in karate in 1968 and 1969. He founded his own martial arts system, Chun Kuk Do, which combines elements of Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and other disciplines.
Acting Career
Norris began his acting career in the 1960s, appearing in films such as The Way of the Dragon (1972) and Return of the Dragon (1973) alongside Bruce Lee. He gained worldwide recognition as the star of action films such as The Hitman (1991), The Delta Force (1986), and Sidekicks (1992).
