Hungary vs Scotland: McGinn Vows to Prove Doubters Wrong

Scotland crashed out of Euro 2024 in heartbreaking fashion, but midfielder John McGinn is determined to prove people wrong by making history and staying in Euro 2024.

Scotland were defeated 1-0 by Hungary in their final Group A match, with Kevin Csoboth scoring a 100th-minute winner to break Scottish hearts.

The defeat means that Scotland finish bottom of Group A, and will now head home from the tournament.

However, McGinn is adamant that Scotland can bounce back from this disappointment and achieve success in the future.

“We’re a young team with a lot of potential,” said McGinn. “We’ve shown in this tournament that we can compete with the best teams in Europe.”

“We’re going to learn from this experience and come back stronger next time.

“We’ve got the mentality and the capability to prove people wrong. We’re going to make history and stay in Euro 2024.”

Scotland will now have to wait until the next qualifying campaign to try and reach a major tournament again.

However, McGinn is confident that the team can achieve success in the future.

“We’re a team on the up,” said McGinn. “We’re going to keep improving and we’re going to be a force to be reckoned with in the future.”
