Documentary to Chronicle Battle with Stiff Person Syndrome
Amazon Prime Video has announced the upcoming release of a new documentary about global songstress Celine Dion, titled "I Am Celine Dion." The documentary, directed by Academy Award nominee Irene Taylor Brodsky, will offer an unrestricted look into Dion's life, including her battle with stiff person syndrome (SPS).
SPS is a rare neurological disorder that causes muscle stiffness and spasms. Dion was diagnosed with the condition in 2022, and it has forced her to postpone her world tour.
"I Am Celine Dion" will feature intimate footage of Dion as she navigates her health challenges, as well as her personal and professional life. The documentary will also include interviews with Dion's family, friends, and collaborators.
"I'm so excited to share this documentary with the world," said Dion. "I've been working on it for over a year, and it's a very special project to me. I wanted to give my fans an intimate look into my life, both the good and the bad. I hope this documentary will inspire others who are facing challenges in their own lives."
"I Am Celine Dion" will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 18, 2023.
